January Programs

Happy 2008!! Just wanted to let you know about the teen programs for this month.

We will be having our Teen Advisory Club meeting at 3pm on the 13th. If you would like a say in what programs and movies are held at the library, come and join this group. We will discuss programming for March and April, choose some books, and talk about a name for the group.

On the 15th, We will be making beeswax candles from 4:30-5:30. You can take home whatever you make.

On the 22nd, we will watch the movie Transformers. If you are under 13, you will need a permission slip signed by a parent.

Refreshments are provided at all events. Come join us for fun at the library this month.

Here are our holiday hours:
CLOSED Monday-Wednesday December 24-26
Close at 5:30 Monday December 31
CLOSED Tuesday January 1

We will follow regular hours the rest of the time.

Teen Movie

We will be showing Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix this Tuesday, the 11th. That is the day it comes out on DVD. The movie starts at 5:30 and refreshments will be provided. It is free and open to all 6th through 12th graders.

Did You Hear?

The new Christopher Paolini book will be out on September 28, 2008. This is the sequel to Eragon and Eldest. He actually had so much stuff that there will be a fourth book in the series with that date to be determined later. We have both Eragon and Eldest at the library if you want to catch up before the new one comes out.

Teen Advisory Club

We will have the first meeting of the Teen Advisory Club on Sunday (December 2) at 3pm. Anyone in the 6th-12th grades is welcome to participate. We will choose the movies for January and February, discuss programs, and start thinking about a name for the group. Please come if you are able.

Happy Thanksgiving

The library will close at 5:30 on Wednesday the 21st and will be closed on Thursday the 22nd and Friday the 23rd for the holiday. We will go to regular hours on Saturday.

Trivia

We have the pop culture Jeopardy next Friday, the 16th, at 4pm. We will be showing Spiderman 3 on Saturday the 17th. Come join us for one or both of these fun programs!!!!
